Music Ministries

Come and worship with us!  At Hills Crossing Baptist Church, we desire to see the Lord high and lifted up through our praise and worship.  Since Scripture tells us to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength, “(Mark 12:30), every song is carefully selected to stir the soul as well as inspire the mind.

What is your church’s style of music?

 

Sunday mornings consist of traditional southern gospel hymns mixed with some contemporary praise and worship songs.  At times it is upbeat and exciting, and other times it is thoughtful and reflective.  Sunday evenings are left open for the congregation to request their favorite hymns.

What ministry opportunities do you have?

 

Adult Choir: Our adult choir sings during the Sunday morning service on a regular basis, as well as performing an annual Christmas program and Easter celebration.

 

Special Music: Individuals can share their musical talent with the congregation during the Sunday morning worship service with a solo, duet, or other group.  Vocalists, pianists, and any other instrumentalists are all welcome!

 

Praise and Worship Team: The Sunday morning praise and worship team is open to anyone who desires to use their talent to worship the Lord—no matter what you play, we will make a spot for you!

Do you have anything for children and youth?

​

A few times a year, the children and youth groups perform a song during the Sunday morning worship service.  Practices are held for just a few minutes during their regular meeting times, and everyone is welcome!
